Terms of Service

These terms apply when you visit www.sido-school.com, request a consultation, or book a program with SIDO-SCHOOL LLC. By using the site you agree to them. Please read them once before you use the service.

Last updated: 30 April 2026

1. Parties & Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and:

SIDO-SCHOOL LLC
3503 Ocean Drive, Suite A
Vero Beach, FL 32963, USA
Email: info@sido-school.com

("SIDO", "we", "us", "our"). Full company details are in our Imprint.

"You" means any person who visits the site, requests information, or books a program. Where you are a parent or legal guardian acting on behalf of a minor, "you" includes both you and that minor, and you confirm you have authority to bind the minor.

2. What We Provide

SIDO is a coordinator and consultant for international student-exchange experiences in the United States. The services we may provide include:

  • Information and guidance about high-school exchange programs in the U.S.
  • Coordination with accredited public or private high schools in Florida
  • Identification of host families through our network and partner organisations
  • Process support during the application and preparation phase
  • A point of contact during the program for ongoing coordination

The exact services included in your program are set out in the individual program agreement you will sign separately before participation. These Terms govern your use of the website and the booking process; they don't replace that agreement.

3. What We Do Not Provide

So you know exactly where our role ends:

  • Legal or immigration advice. We don't issue visas, prepare immigration filings, or give legal opinions. Visa documentation is prepared by certified U.S. program sponsors or licensed legal professionals; we coordinate but do not represent you legally.
  • Educational decisions. Course placement, grading, and academic decisions are made by the U.S. high school you attend, not by SIDO.
  • Host-family employment. Host families are independent volunteers or partners. They are not our employees and we do not direct their household.
  • Guarantees of admission, results, language proficiency, or specific outcomes. We commit to coordinating in good faith; we don't guarantee any specific academic, social, or personal outcome.

Plain-language summary: We help you find the school, the family, and the path. We don't issue visas, we don't grade you, and we can't promise how the year will go for you personally — that's part of the experience.

4. Eligibility

To use the booking flow on this site you must be at least 18 years old, or be acting with the consent and oversight of a parent or legal guardian. Programs themselves are designed for students aged 14–18; participation always requires the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to give us accurate, current, and complete information when you contact us or apply for a program, and to keep that information up to date.

5. Booking & Contract Formation

Submitting the booking form on this site is a request for information and an expression of interest, not a binding contract. A binding contract for participation in a program is only formed when:

  • We have provided you with a written program offer specifying the program, dates, scope of services, and fees;
  • You have signed (or electronically accepted) that written program agreement; and
  • We have confirmed acceptance in writing.

Until those three conditions are met, no obligation to deliver a program or pay fees exists on either side.

6. Fees & Payment

Program fees are set out in the individual program agreement, not in these Terms. Fees, payment schedules, currencies, and refund conditions are agreed in writing for each program separately.

The use of this website itself — reading information, requesting a consultation, using the chat widget — is free of charge.

7. Cancellation & Withdrawal

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union and you book a program with us via this website (i.e. by means of distance communication), you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law. To exercise this right, send an unambiguous statement to info@sido-school.com within 14 days of contract formation.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to certain services already fully performed with your prior consent before the period expires, or where the law otherwise excludes it.

Specific cancellation, change, and refund conditions for each program — including any cancellation fees that may apply after the withdrawal period — are set out in the program agreement.

8. Acceptable Use

When using the site, please don't:

  • Submit information that is false, misleading, or for someone else without their permission
  • Attempt to interfere with the technical operation of the site (scraping, automated access, attacks, malware)
  • Misuse the chat widget — for example, by sending threatening, harassing, or unlawful content, or by attempting to extract data we don't intend to share
  • Reverse-engineer or copy the site's design, content, or code for use elsewhere

We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken.

9. Intellectual Property

The site, its design, text, photos, logos, and trade marks belong to SIDO-SCHOOL LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

You may view and share links to the site, and you may print or save individual pages for your personal, non-commercial reference. Anything beyond that — copying, adapting, redistributing, or using the content commercially — requires our prior written permission.

If you submit content to us (for example a quote, photo, or testimonial), you grant SIDO a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with our marketing, subject to our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw that permission for future use at any time by emailing us.

10. Third-Party Services

The site uses third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, and the AI chat widget. Details are listed in our Privacy Policy. Third-party content (e.g. external links) is provided for convenience; we don't control it and aren't responsible for it.

Where the program itself involves third parties — schools, host families, certified U.S. program sponsors, transport, insurance — those services are governed by the agreements you have with those parties. We coordinate, but we are not their agent.

11. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it accurate, secure, and up to date, but we don't warrant that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a specific purpose beyond what we expressly promise in writing.

Information on the site is provided for general guidance. Visa, immigration, school-system, and travel rules change; you should always confirm specific details with the relevant authorities or with us in writing before relying on them.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SIDO's total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the site is limited to the fees you have paid to SIDO under the relevant program agreement in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

SIDO is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, loss of opportunity, or loss of data, even if foreseeable.

Important — your rights as an EU consumer: Nothing in this section limits or excludes liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SIDO, its managers, members, and affiliates harmless from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the site, or (c) information you have provided that is materially false or misleading. This does not apply to claims arising from SIDO's own negligent or unlawful conduct.

14. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. By using the site you acknowledge that you have read it.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Indian River County, Florida shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the consumer protection below.

Consumer protection: If you are a consumer and you reside in the European Union or another jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer-protection law would otherwise apply, that mandatory protection is not displaced by this clause. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you reside, and the mandatory consumer-protection law of that country applies to the extent it is more favourable to you.

For information on EU online dispute resolution, see the link in our Imprint.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time when our service or the law evolves. The current version is always available at this URL, and the "Last updated" date at the top tells you when it was last revised. For material changes that affect ongoing program agreements, we'll notify affected users by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Severability & Contact

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any program agreement you sign, are the entire agreement between you and SIDO regarding the subject matter.
